Laboratory Testing
In some cases laboratory tests can be carried out to better understand what your health issues are. For example they can be used to indicate digestive efficiency, food allergies, food intolerance and hormonal imbalances.
Allergy Tests
For clients with acute symptoms the IgE tests may be appropriate.
More difficult to pinpoint problems may benefit from the FACTest.
The IgG tests may be worthwhile if the FACTest hasn't identified anything. IgG reactions have the weakest correlation with actual symptoms.
IgE Food Panel
Tests 37 common foods for IgE antibody reactions.
Symptoms that may be caused by IgE reactions include: Anaphylaxis, hives, asthma, rhinitis, eczema, anaemia and acute gastrointestinal problems.
IgE Inhalent Panel
Tests about 27 common inhalents for IgE antibody reactions.
Symptoms that may be caused by IgE reactions include: Anaphylaxis, hives, asthma, rhinitis, eczema, anaemia and acute gastrointestinal problems.
FACTest
Tests 141 common foods, drinks, drugs and additives for inflammatory chemical reactions.
Symptoms that may be caused by cells in the blood reacting with substances tested for by FACTest include: Gastrointestinal problems, urinary tract infections, skin problems, headaches and fatigue.
IgG 88 Food Panel
Tests 88 common foods for IgG antibody reactions.
Symptoms that may be caused by IgG reactions include: Rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, gastrointestinal problems, skin irritations and recurrent infections.
Comprehensive Food Allergy Profile
This test includes the FACTest, the IgE Food panel and a test for untreated Celiacs disease.
Symptoms that occur quickly after certain meals (IgE-like) in combination with unexplained gastrointestinal problems, urinary tract infections, skin problems, headaches and fatigue.
Hormone Tests
These tests when positive can indicate worthwhile approaches for many chronic conditions.
Adrenal Stress Index
Symptoms for which adrenal dysfunction may be an underlying factor include anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue as well as allergies, insomnia, headaches, recurrent infections, menstrual difficulties and infertility.
Total Thyroid Screen
Symptoms for which thyroid dysfunction may be an underlying factor include fatigue, depression, coldness, constipation, poor skin, headaches, PMS, weight gain, anxiety, low sex drive and loss of mental acuity as well as muscle and joint pain.
